Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the OpenSassy platform. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using OpenSassy, you agree to this AUP.

Permitted use

OpenSassy is designed for legitimate business management of service-based businesses. Permitted uses include:

  • Managing bookings, clients, staff, and services for your legitimate business
  • Using AI features to draft content, analyse data, and automate operations
  • Communicating with your existing clients via in-platform messaging tools
  • Building custom features for your own business use
  • Processing payments for services rendered by your business

Prohibited use

You must not use OpenSassy to:

Illegal activities

  • Violate any applicable UK or international law or regulation
  • Process illegally obtained personal data
  • Facilitate fraud, money laundering, or financial crime
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of third parties

Harmful communications

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) to individuals who have not consented
  • Send harassing, threatening, or abusive messages
  • Impersonate another person or organisation
  • Send communications that violate the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR)

Platform abuse

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another customer's data
  • Conduct security testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability scanning without written permission
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the platform
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the platform
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the platform without written permission
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing systems

Harmful AI use

  • Use the AI features to generate misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent content
  • Attempt to manipulate the AI to bypass safety measures
  • Use AI-generated content without appropriate human review where it affects third parties

Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice, depending on severity. We may report illegal activities to law enforcement. We reserve the right to cooperate with legal requests and investigations.

Reporting violations

Report suspected AUP violations to hello@the-sassy.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email with 30 days' notice.
