Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By creating an account or using the OpenSassy platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms form a legally binding contract between you ("Customer") and OpenSassy ("we", "us", "OpenSassy"), a company registered in England and Wales. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. The service
OpenSassy provides a cloud-based AI business management platform for service businesses. Features include but are not limited to: AI chat interface, booking management, payroll calculation, social media drafting, voice reception, and custom feature building. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features with reasonable notice.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind your business
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at hello@the-sassy.com
4. Subscription and payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are listed on our pricing page and are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
If payment fails, we will notify you and provide a grace period of 7 days before suspending access.
14-day free trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. At the end of the trial, you must add a payment method to continue. If you do not, your account will be downgraded.
30-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first paid charge, contact us for a full refund.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use OpenSassy to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Send unsolicited communications (spam) to clients
- Store or process unlawfully obtained personal data
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or access other customers' data
- Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate business management
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the platform without written permission

6. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you input into OpenSassy (client records, bookings, business data). You grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement for full details.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to input personal data about third parties (your clients, staff) and that doing so complies with UK GDPR.
7. AI-generated content
OpenSassy uses AI to generate responses, recommendations, social posts, payroll drafts, and other content. This content is generated automatically and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before acting on it or sending it to others. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, OpenSassy's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for: indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data (beyond our backup obligations), or losses caused by third-party services integrated with OpenSassy.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events outside our control (force majeure, third-party provider outages).
10. Termination
You: Cancel anytime from your account settings. Access continues to the end of your billing period. Your data is available for export for 30 days, then deleted.
Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms, engage in illegal activity, or fail to pay. We will provide 30 days' notice for any other termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes
We will provide 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms by email. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
